There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments.
On Monday March 27th, the children at the MUEE STEAM Center in Gilbert began working on their outdoor garden. Last fall, the children worked with the Honeysuckle Garden Club to plant cabbage, red romaine lettuce, and kale. There were remnants of these plants left, so our garden was in much need of a makeover. The children worked together to pull weeds and prepare the soil for new seeds and plants. In one garden bin, the children planted onion sets. Children and teachers engaged in conversations about what other vegetables they would like to plant. The children showed interest in planting tomatoes, carrots, and flowers. Stay tuned for what will happen next in our ever changing garden!
